Managing, coordinating and implementing all SSE programs and processes in the plant;
Developing an annual plan in consensus with the leadership team, and monitoring the progress of the plan against objectives;
Developing performance standards and methods of accomplishing those standards for the facility;
Ensuring the facility standards meet or exceed both company, governmental and local regulations;
Ensuring that SSE training and coaching is accomplished throughout the plant, and organizing the annual training plan;
Coordinating the Global Security Food Defense program in conjunction with the Quality Manager;
Managing the facility SSE budget.
EDUCATION: 4-year degree required.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
4
years of experience in Safety and Environmental leadership in a smaller manufacturing plant;
Experienced in OSHA and state standards applicable to the facility;
Knowledge and experience with risk assessment and management techniques to identify key facility improvement opportunities;
Understands and applies Security principles in an industrial setting;
Understands certification requirements and creates and manages programs that achieve and maintain certifications;
Knowledgeable in Lean and Six Sigma.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
