A leading global supplier of Polymer Additives providing technical solutions for PVC, Polyolefin, urethanes, ABS, polystyrene and rubber products has an immediate opening for a Production Manager.The total number of employees is 66: 28 salaried & 38 hourly. All hourly report indirectly to the Production Manager position.
The Production Manager is responsible for the implementation of safety, quality, cost, production, and morale in the manufacturing area to insure compliance with regulatory agencies and company policies and procedures.

Typical Responsibilities or Duties:
Direct and plan for the scheduling needs of personnel and equipment within budgetary guidelines to meet the demands of production while at the same time satisfying customer requirements. The objective is to ensure that on-time delivery, quality, cost, production and morale goals are achieved.
Manage, direct and develop department staff to meet department and individual goals, etc.
Direct the employees working in the manufacturing areas in accordance with good safety practices to comply with all federal, state and local safety regulations, as well as company policies, practices, and procedures.
Direct the manufacturing areas to insure all products achieve customer quality specifications. This position requires proficiency in and capabilities under ISO conditions of providing training in all areas of manufacturing as well as the shipping and receiving areas and maintenance. Update production ISO procedures for process changes as needed. In addition, ensure that all plant packs and profiles are adequate and accurate for the product running.
Implement manufacturing improvement programs at the direction of the Operations Manager.
Manage the reduction or elimination of grievances by establishing and maintaining employee relations through constant communication, timely feedback, and consistent adherence to company policies and procedures. Performing employee performance reviews, providing methods of encouragement for the professional growth and development of employees, and effectively administering the labor agreement can achieve this objective.
Responsible for planning, organizing, controlling, and making decisions to insure resources are utilized and allocated in order to achieve overall manufacturing goals during the absences of the Operations Manager.
Education, Skill, Knowledge or Ability Required:
Bachelors degree in business or technical field.
A minimum of five years experience in a manufacturing environment.
Three to five years of supervisory experience.
Labor experience preferred.
Demonstrated leadership skills.
Ability to facilitate large group meetings.
Professional verbal and written communications skills.
Proficient computer skills (i.e., word processing and spreadsheet applications).
SAP experience preferred.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
