Our client, a consulting firm in Wayne, is seeking a Payroll Coordinator to join their finance team. The Payroll Coordinator will be responsible for processing payroll for the company and maintaining all payroll records. The ideal candidate has 5-7 years of payroll experience, preferably in a consulting or professional services environment, with a minimum of 3 years of multi-state payroll experience.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Process monthly payroll and all payroll transactions
Reconcile payroll and validate reports
Ensure that all employee payroll forms are complete and entered into ADP
Process all salary advances and manual check calculations as-needed
Import employee hours into ADP
Calculate overtime hours
Calculate bonuses, travel allowances, referral bonuses, and salary advances
Manage all wage deductions, garnishments, and PTO accruals
Respond to unemployment claims as necessary
Year-end payroll reporting
Maintain payroll records
Create payroll reports as-needed
Respond to payroll issues and questions
Other projects as assigned

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in payroll operations, preferably in a consulting or professional services environment
Minimum of 3 years of experience processing multi-state payroll
Working knowledge of ADP payroll systems, specifically Pay Expert; knowledge of ADP HRB a plus
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with an emphasis on Excel
Working experience with federal, state, and local payroll tax
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently
Exceptional time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
Adept at multitasking, problem solving, and decision making
Detail orientedEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
