SSR is looking for a Technology Consultant (Temporary) for our Nashville, TN office.
The Technology Consultant (Temporary) directs the technical activities on assigned projects and understands the medical communications systems design technical policies and procedures. Participates in the development of communications systems technical studies, facility condition assessments, client needs assessments, and detailed designs on assigned projects. Assists the project team in the scoping, budgeting and staffing of projects and in the production of projects on time, within budget and of the highest technical quality.
The Technology Consultant (Temporary) will take responsible charge for and perform responsibilities on assigned projects which shall include but not be limited to:
Performs as Project Manager for the team on assigned projects
Utilizes and assists less experienced staff in understanding company technical policies and procedures during the execution of projects for clients
Assists in the development of design approaches and concepts on assigned projects and requests assistance from senior technical staff when needed
Assists management in the execution of technical training for less experienced design staff
Assists the design team in the coordination with external and internal contacts such as owners, architects, MEP disciplines and CADD designers
Reviews shop drawings, records changes, and provides feedback to designers and CADD operators based on project specifications
Communicates directly with suppliers, contractors and client representatives
Conducts site visits during construction to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications, owner expectations, and building codes
Actively participates in professional organizations where the technical reputation and image of the firm may be enhanced
Conducts planning/vision casting meeting to determine the scope of the project, current and future needs, process and work flow, and client expectations
Assists in the preparation and maintenance of project budgets
Performs industry specific analyses such as capacity calculations and fill percentage for conduits
Maintains a continued focus on keeping up with industry trends and changes with continued self education and training
Regularly attends project update meetings with both clients and team members
Coordinates with owners, contractors, vendors, and client representative to determine project scope and monitor project construction status
Acts and performs activities inside and outside the office consistent with ethical engineering standards in the company handbook
An ideal candidate will possess the following requirements:
Preferred five to seven years experience in information technology, information systems, or computer science, consulting, construction
Four years or more applicable experience in discipline design and analysis
Or ten years or more direct experience in the design, application, and/or administration of medical communication systems, and a demonstrated ability to actively participate in the design and analysis required on substantial projects
Must demonstrate the ability to actively participate in the design and analysis required on substantial projects.
Must be a competent communication systems specialist and have Healthcare Systems experience
REVIT MEP experience is a plus
