A leading global supplier of Polymer Additives, providing technical solutions for PVC, Polyolefin, urethanes, ABS, polystyrene and rubber products has an immediate opening for a Production Engineer.
The primary function of the position is to manage new and current programs to continually improve the manufacturing process and the development of recommendations that will create efficiency, general cost savings, accommodate growth, and promote continuous improvement. Work closely with employees to develop and maintain good employee relations.

Establish process control and process optimizations with the objective of improving product quality/uniformity/costs.
Manage repair and maintenance expenses, identifying cost savings opportunities.
Evaluate and recommend equipment to implement new programs, specify equipment necessary for capital improvements.
Manage Maintenance and Maintenance Services Department.
Work with the equipment and interact with employees to develop a better understanding of the process needing improved.
Implement practices to enable production to maintain ISO certification.
Perform other duties of similar nature and scope as assigned by supervisor.
This position reports to the Production Manager and directly supervises 7 hourly employees.

EDUCATION, SKILL, KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
BS Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Experience working with CAD preferred.
Three to five year's experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Analytical skills to interpret and compare existing and new data.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
