My Client is a growing and well respected commercial construction company and they are looking for the right talent to grow with them.
POSITION PURPOSE
My clients Superintendents are essential to the efficient operation, growth and success. Superintendents are responsible for delivering capital projects on-time and on-budget while providing an exceptional client service. The Superintendent derives his or her authority, and performs all duties with guidance, from senior management including the Project Manager. Superintendents are responsible for supervising, managing and coordinating the efforts of the field labor force on a day-to-day basis. Superintendents supervise all personnel assigned to their capital projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Superintendent job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Direct day-to-day on-site supervision of field labor force to ensure proper site safety, construction, progress, quality control and clean job site.
Identify and address issues or lack of scope during preconstruction phase.
Participate in development and final review of scope, buy-out and schedule.
Supervise subcontract operations to ensure compliance with contract.
Promote positive subcontractor relations by dealing professionally and fairly with all subcontractors and venders.
Issue discipline to subcontractor personnel where appropriate.
Manage owner, landlord, city/state procedural requirements to avoid project delays and ensure project safety and client satisfaction.
Conduct routine quality control inspections.
Develop and implement project strategy and commitments including financial goals, scheduling, logistics, phasing, milestones and inspections.
Maintain an updated and accurate project schedule that reflects the changes in the project status consistent with cost and time requirements of the project.
Demonstrate commitment to an injury-free work environment through own actions and mentoring others.
Exceed client expectations for each project by understanding client needs, wants, preferences and culture.
Demonstrate and maintain effective and open dialogue with the project team regarding changes in work, job conditions, subcontractor relations and any deviation in the direction of the project.
Supervise punch list process to ensure all are addressed and executed in a timely manner.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

A positive attitude and desire to deliver exceptional results on-time for our clients.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Extensive background and knowledge of safety procedures and federal and state regulations.
Five or more years of superintendent experience in both ground up and interior construction on union and non-union projects.
Demonstrate strong leadership qualities.
Delegates work appropriately.
Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times.
Experience in managing, training and developing workforce.
Experience in computer technology (Microsoft outlook, excel, word, project & PM Web a +).
Experience utilizing one of the following project scheduling systems: Microsoft Project, Primavera.

Additional Skills
Experience in all facets of OSHA compliance.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
