We are looking for a Safety Specialist for a large manufacturing plant near Aiken, SC. This person will report to the Safety Manager and together they will direct and coordinate all safety and health related issues for the facility, including injury prevention, industrial hygiene, fire prevention, security, ergonomics and workers compensation. This is a VPP certified site. Candidates must have the following experience and knowledge to qualify for this position:

Bachelors degree in Safety Management, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety and Health or similar Safety-related degree. Degree must be from an accredited university.
5-10 years experience in safety and health with a manufacturing company.
General safety training, including hazard communications and MSDS.
Industrial Hygiene.
Fire prevention.
Security.
Ergonomics.
Workers compensation.
Exposure to OSHA, NIOSH, ANSI, NFPA and WC.
Contractor safety.
Lockout/tagout, machine guarding, electrical safety and other machine-related safety regulations and training.
ASP or CSP is strongly preferred.

This company offers excellent stability and benefits, including paid relocation. There is also an incentive bonus plan (typically about 15-20% and paid weekly in every paycheck). Candidates who have a stable work history and meet the above requirements are encouraged to apply. Travel is expected to be minimal. This position does not qualify for Visa sponsorship. Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
