NECESSARY SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Experience working in retail or similar environment
Must demonstrate proficiency in speaking, writing, and reading of the English language
Ability and desire to problem solve, prioritize, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel)
Must have guest service skills and be able to interact with guests in an effective manner
Basic mathematical skills, ability to count and provide change for monetary transactions
Ability to move and handle boxes of merchandise and/or textbooks including lifting up to 50 lbs. in a safe manner
## Job Description
TEAM MEMBERS DELIVER ON THE COLLEGE STORES MISSION BY:
Greeting each guest with Hi, How can I help you?
Assisting guests with locating textbooks and other merchandise
Promptly processing sales at the cash register and striving to eliminate wait times
Maintaining a clean, full, and well-organized sales floor and back room
Supporting efforts to plan, prepare, and execute textbook back to school and buyback periods
Protecting company assets by adhering to operational best practices and monitoring suspicious activity
Other duties as assigned
