THIS JOB IS LOCATED IN BEAUFORT COUNTY. HOWEVER, TRAVEL TO OUR OTHER SITES WILL BE REQUIRED TO COVER FOR ABSENCES DUE TO LEAVE OR JOB VACANCY.
Coastal Empire CMHC is an approved site of the National Health Service Corps (NHSC), which offers student loan repayment of up to $60,000 to employees of NHSC-approved sites. You must be a US citizen, you must be licensed to practice in the state where you are hired, and you must have unpaid government or commercial school loans. There is a two year service commitment required as well.
JOB DUTIES:
1. Provides nursing services, including medication monitoring and administration and psychiatric nursing services to adult, seriously mentally ill clients inthe outpatient clinic setting
2. Provides case management, including support for meeting basic needs, housing, food, etc. and linkages with community resources. Provides treatment planning, psycho-education and crisis management to the seriously and persistently mentally ill adults.
3. Provides nursing services to the emotionally disturbed children as needed and requested by C&A; physician. Provides nursing services to other CECMHC sites on an as-needed basis.
4. Attends and participates in treatment team meetings; attends departmental level meetings as assigned by supervisor

Minimum and Additional Requirements:

State Requirements: __ Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Licensure as an RN by the SC Board of Nursing.
Agency Requirements __: Bachelor's degree in nursing or 3 year diploma or an associate degree in nursing; Licensed RN by the SC Board of Nursing, or eligible for SC licensure. A minimum of one year post-degree experience in psychiatric nursing is required.

Qualifications:
Working knowledge of techniques and practices of the nursing profession, psychiatric theory and health care delivery. Working knowledge of medical and psychiatric terminology. Ability to monitor and administer medications.
