Job Responsibilities
In order to build an active pool of qualified applicants, Piedmont Technical College is accepting applications for adjunct faculty (temporary, part-time) to teach at the Lex D. Walters Campus and/or our six county centers in Laurens, Newberry, Edgefield, Saluda, Abbeville, and McCormick during the day/evenings, on-line and dual credit instructors to teach in high schools. Applications will be reviewed on an as needed basis. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, teaching varying schedules at a variety of locations, utilizing technology, and using a variety of teaching methods in instruction.
Minimum and Additional Requirements:
Opportunities in Continuing Education: seeking experienced professionals to teach classes in the following subject areas: Supervisory Development, Lean Manufacturing, Communications/Soft Skills, Workforce Development, Professional Development, SAT/ACT Classes, and Hobby/Personal Interest, Dance & Exercise and any other class that provides students with skills or knowledge that helps them grow professionally.
These instructors work on an as-needed basis.
Requirements: Associate's Degree
3 or more years of experience in topics related to the course you wish to teach.
Bachelor's Degree and previous teaching experience preferred.
Instructor - Medical - These individuals assist with medical classes or teach specialized medical classes that require specific credentials that will be recognized based on the class.
Instructor, Personal Enrichment Classes
These individuals teach personal enrichment Continuing Education classes. Some examples of these classes include knitting, crocheting, dancing, art, certain summer camps, and any other program that provides students with skills or knowledge that helps them develop or grow a personal interest. These instructors work on an as-needed basis.
Requirements: 2
Years of experience in topics related to the course you wish to teach. Preference is given to those who have previous teaching experience.
Instructor, Computer Classes
These individuals teach Continuing Education computer classes. Some examples of these classes include Microsoft Programs, Adobe Programs, Basic Computer Skills, and any other class that provides students with skills or knowledge that helps them learn to use a computer or a specific computer program. These instructors work on an as-needed basis.
Requirements: 5
Years' experience using the software or operating system you wish to teach. Associate's Degree or MOS Certification preferred. Preference will be given to those with previous teaching experience.
Instructor, Safety & Maintenance Classes
These individuals teach Continuing Education safety and/or maintenance classes. Some examples of these classes include forklift, electrical maintenance, mechanical maintenance, small engine repair, OSHA, HAZMAT, HAZWOPER, and any other safety or maintenance related class. These instructors work on an as-needed basis.
Requirements: 5
Years' work experience in the area(s) you wish to teach. In some cases, a certification may be required. Preference is given to those who have previous teaching experience.
Instructor, Siemens PLC - Advanced
These individuals teach Continuing Education Advanced Siemens PLC classes. These instructors work on an as-needed basis.
Requirements: Expert knowledge in Advanced Siemens PLC. Preference is given to those with previous teaching experience.
Instructor, Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) (Calypso Software)
These individuals teach Continuing Education CMM classes utilizing Calypso Software. These instructors work on an as-needed basis.
Requirements: 5
Years' experience using Coordinate Measuring Machines along with Calypso software. Preference is given to those with previous teaching experience.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
