Financial Services Experience is a MUST
Fidelity Institutional (FI) provides products, solutions and services to banks, broker/dealers, registered investment advisors, family offices, and other financial intermediaries to meet their brokerage and banking needs. We are seeking a Systems Analyst to assist with requirements definition on complex projects in our Technology Product group. You will be responsible for partnering with the product management and technology teams to gather and document systems requirements for new products and major enhancements to our offering in support of our National Financial, Registered Investment Advisor and Family Office clients.
Primary
Responsibilities:
Provides analysis leadership on complex systems and analysis projects, often across subsystems and companies.
Engages with clients, business partners and technology partners to understand workflow and client needs to define optimal technology solutions to meet the needs of the business.
Defines analysis strategy for multi-phase projects.
Facilitate requirement gathering meetings, communicate complex business needs into clear actionable systems requirements; researches and evaluates alternative solutions.
Development of user stories/use cases, current and proposed business and systems processes.
Evaluates design of existing systems to judge their functionality, effectiveness, reliability, performance, usage, maintainability and cost of ownership.
Reviews traces among specifications, requirements and objectives and leads traceability improvements.
Works closely with business and technology partners to ensure clear translation from business to systems requirements.
Provides technical analysis estimates on technology initiatives
Monitors documentation standards and best practices.
Education and
Experience:
Bachelor degree in Finance, Information Technology or equivalent

years financial services experience (institutional or retail brokerage a plus)
Demonstrated mastery in systems analysis and formal documentation process.
Expertise with systems development lifecycle and methodologies required.
Skills and Knowledge:
Excellent written and oral communication, facilitation and leadership skills.
Solid analytical, negotiation & problem solving skills
Knowledge of financial markets and products
Ability to work effectively with customers as well as all levels of business and technology partners
Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fluid organization where priorities shift to respond to changing business needs
Excellent time management skills
Formal Project Management or Systems Analysis training
Experience with advanced analysis methodologies (data flow diagrams, case tool analysis, process flow diagrams), and agile development methodologies.
Experience with trading and portfolio management systems a plus.
