Duties: Develop test methodologies to test custom IDS/IPS implementation on FireEye MPS systems. Perform Exploit detection using Metasploit, Breakingpoint, and other standard IDS/IPS test suites. Design and implement test plans, scripts, and procedures for various Malware protection features and enhancements. Identify, analyze and document problems on the performed tests. Participate in end-to-end software lifecycle process and track beta testing at customer sites. Participate in post-release sustaining activities, and help recreate issues reported by customers. Track customer appliance health through FireEye Cloud monitoring system. Test and release integration features for FireEye Central and Local management systems. Work with cross-functional teams including Support and Product Management, to ensure customer case tracking and satisfaction.
Requirements: Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation. In the alternative, Employer will accept Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, followed by 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation. Experience must include: 1. IPS/IDS penetration testing tools and IDS/IPS testing methodologies, including evasion and denial of service; 2. Cross-functional work experience with Support and Sales; 3. Testing of network equipment including web servers, proxies, and firewalls; 4. Setup and configuration of networking products, including Linux and Windows systems; 5. Client/server Web UI and CLI testing; 6. Debugging and troubleshooting for large software enterprise systems; 7. HTTP Web Servers, SMTP Mail Servers, or CIFS File Servers; 8. Experience with customer interaction and convergence on root cause analysis; 9. Breaking Point, Metasploit, MuDynamics, Perl, Shell, and Python; 10.Test Management Tools, Bug Tracking Tools, and Traffic Monitoring Tools.
