A leading manufacturer of automotive components near Mishawaka, IN is looking for a Production Manager to lead a group of 120-150 people to make non-ferrous automotive components. This position reports to the Plant Manager. An Engineering degree from an accredited university is mandatory along with at least 5 years of production management experience in a foundry or casting environment. A technical background in a Tier 1 automotive company is strongly preferred. Foundry experience is required and aluminum foundry experience is preferred. Candidates must be familiar with department-level budgeting, tooling, Quality Control (including SPC), ISO9001 or TS16949, EHS (ISO14001, EPA and OSHA), maintenance, capital project management, training and production planning. The Production Manager is expected to have excellent communication, leadership and organizational skills. Training of other employees and vendors is required. Occasional overnight travel to other facilities and customer sites will be required. Candidates with a stable work history and experience in a busy manufacturing environment are encouraged to apply.
