Shift: Day shift w/occasional evenings
Hours: 32hrs/week
Job Details:
Minimum 1 year experience preferred
INTERNAL TO CURRENT MAINEGENERAL EMPLOYEES ONLY
Greets, instructs, and directs patients and visitors. Maintains Imaging records and locates these records for patients, physicians and other customers when required. Assists the radiologist in image preparation for interpretation. Acts as technologist assistant in patient examinations. Provides patient preparations and instructions for use. Schedules examinations and ensures appropriateness of request. Registers patients as indicated. Serves as liaison between patient, imaging staff and medical staff.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education diploma (GED) preferred
Post high school coursework in business and/or medical field preferred
1 year experience in a healthcare setting preferred
Other Special Skills -Preferred
Customer service experience and medical terminology
Basic Anatomy or equivalent experience preferred.
Coding and compliance training preferred
Proficiency in a suite of Microsoft Office applications
