Corporate Services, Inc. currently has immediate job opportunities with one of our clients in the Western Wisconsin area. We are in search of a full-time Purchasing and Materials Agent. Candidate MUST have experience in a steel manufacturing environment. This position will be in charge of all purchasing of equipment, machines, and office supplies for the company. Primary duties will include researching and contacting vendors to locate materials and negotiate pricing, inventory and cycle counting, reviewing bids and proposals, implementing cost-reduction methods, monitoring purchasing trends, coordinating with production staff to determine material needs, and record keeping of requisitions and purchase orders.
To qualify for this position candidate must have 4 - 5 years purchasing experience and preferably experience with a steel, metal, and/or industrial painting. Must possess excellent attention to detail and strong computer skills with Microsoft Excel based purchasing programs and the ability to adhere to strict deadlines and time-sensitive tasks. A Bachelors degree in Business with a focus in supply chain or a related degree is preferred. A combination of education and work experience would be considered as well.
This position will have daytime hours Monday through Friday and is a temp-to-hire opportunity. Pay for position will begin at $39,000 per year or better depending upon qualifications and experience.
