An international manufacturing company near Aiken, SC is looking for an EHS Specialist to plan, implement, monitor and report all aspects of their EHS management system. This is a hands-on position and the EHS Specialist will have responsibilities for 2 plants. A BS degree from an accredited university in an Environmental, Health, Safety or similar field is required, along with at least 2 years of EHS experience in a busy manufacturing environment. The EHS Specialist will need a thorough knowledge of relevant OSHA, EPA, DOT and NFPA regulations and practices. He or she will also lead training, audits and incident investigations. Good communication and project management skills are critical. Travel is expected to be minimal. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
