The Senior SCOM Engineer will be responsible for engineering and day-to-day operations of Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) in the corporate data centers and facilities. The role spans the data center space as it ties to these products and occasionally to field sites and end users.

Responsibilities
Responsible for the day-to-day operations of Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM). The scope of SCOM is used for the monitoring of corporate servers across all data centers on a global basis.
Accountable for automation and orchestration of server tasks and workloads across all Recall servers globally using the Microsoft 'System Center Orchestrator' (SCOM) toolset
Day-to-day operational responsibilities as they relate to SCOM
Serves as a lead resource in decision making for standards, processes and procedures for SCOM and participates in the creation and maintenance of necessary documentation.
Participates in the designs, implementations and builds of SCOM monitoring solutions for determined strategic direction across all corporate data centres and facilities to include both backend, distribution points and endpoint components
Serves as lead competency engineer and provides knowledge transfer of implementations to peer operations/support team members
Assists in overall architecture and system design decisions with Enterprise Architecture team.
Participate in Systems Center Communities by attending conferences, workshops, user groups and other partner/vendor meetings
On a rotating basis, will participate in an on-call rotation OR follow the sun support model with AD/Exchange team member
Experience:
8
years' experience with infrastructure monitoring
5-7 years' experience with server monitoring using Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM)
5-7 years' experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange technologies
Bachelor degree in Computer Science (or related competency); equivalent experience will be considered
Microsoft certification (MCSE) pertaining to 'System Center Operations Manager' (SCOM) Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
