The primary responsibility of the Inventory Lead is to assist in the supervision of Inventory Control Specialists and handling administrative elements of the inventory dept. This position also conducts specific type of cycle counts, processes certain type of adjustments and helps coordinate the annual physical inventory. The position works under minimal supervision and must work closely with other depts.
Ensures all daily scheduled cycle counts and audits are completed as per company SOP.
Effectively plan and communicate daily volume and assign work to specialist.
Assist in developing and communicating inventory management policies and procedures.
Ensures detailed records are kept of all counting activities as well as defective product.
Responsible for accuracy of inventory information and ability to execute adjustments based on physical verification and WM research.
Identify trending issues by tracking errors and report information to each respective department.
Investigate inventory discrepancies such as wrong quantity, wrong product and wrong location placement.
Troubleshoot by finding resolutions to issues and provides training to inventory specialists.
Analyzes inventory discrepancies by researching variances and identifying root cause by formulating recommendations for improvement of inventory accuracy. This includes but not limited to location variances, picks short research and canceled order reconciliation.
Research inventory discrepancies such as inventory movements between locations, short picks during order fulfillment and canceled outbound PO and/or cartons.
Knowledgeable and participate in Year End Physical Inventories.
Perform all other duties as assigned by manager
2 yrs of Inventory Control experience with understanding of DC processes, practices and procedures
Must possess Microsoft Suite, WMS and RF experience.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain focus in a fast paced environment.
Highly organized with strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Excellent math, oral and written communication skills, must speak/understand English
Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit, also ability to work in a team or group environment.
Must continuously stand/walk with possible lifting/handling and carrying moderate weight.
Comfortable in a warehouse environment with regular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery and loud noise.
Must pass drug and background check
Ensure all employees are working safely.
Ability to operate fork lift and other material handling equipment
Weekend and overtime may be required occasionally.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
