Responsibilities:
Position Description:
Responsible for assisting with Cost, Schedule and Performance on active contracts supporting the procurement and repair of the Army's entire handheld LTL inventory and future inventory. Track multiple delivery orders, monthly/quarterly production verification testing, engineering changes, deviations and waivers. Each one of these activities requires the personal involvement and understanding of electro-optical technical and programmatic impacts. Balances information with intimate knowledge of the User requirements. As backup Cost Analyst, Builds, updates, and maintains Life Cycle Cost Estimates (LCCE) and Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCE). Develops all applicable cost estimate back-up material. Reviews and evaluates contractor cost estimates. Assists in the preparation of Capability Development Documents and Capability Production Documents. Develops and updates program pricing sheets.
Duty station is Fort Belvoir, VA. Travel is expected to be 25% of duty time.

Qualifications:
BA or BS degree in Electro-Optics or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus thirteen (13) or more years of progressive and relevant experience in field, including demonstrated specialist skills.
Must demonstrate oral and written communication skills that commensurate with position requirements.
Skills/
Qualifications:

years of experience in electro-optics and laser programs
5
years of experience running Army Acquisition programs &/or DAWIA Certification in Project Management at Level II or equivalent training and experience
Must have a thorough understanding of the Microsoft Office application suite
Must have an understanding and experience (5
years) with electro-optical systems
Must have demonstrated leadership skills to influence contractors, government civilians and military
Must have a background and training in Cost Analysis
Additional Certification or equivalent experience in Systems Engineering, and Cost Analysis at DAWIA Level II and prior military experience, especially in combat arms and fire support a significant is a plus
Must have an active security clearance
Physical Requirements:
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require filing, typing, and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, included but not limited to: bending, reaching, turning and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds. There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distances may be required.
Work Environment:
Generally an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task. An inside environment may be a cubicle (considerations: close quarters, low to moderate noise, bright or dim lighting). Outside work may include various environmental conditions including warm and cold climates. Needs to be able to work well with co-workers and all levels of management. No hazards on job or unusual environmental conditions. Office is located off site at: Fort Belvoir, VA.
Equipment and Machines:
Ability to operate office equipment such as a personal computer, printer, copy machine, telephone, fax machine and other equipment including desk supplies and other work related tools as required.
Attendance:
Work hours are normally 8 hours per day and 5 days per week, Monday-Friday. Regular attendance of scheduled hours is extremely important, but not critical, except for deadlines and meetings. Punctuality and regular attendance are necessary to meet deadlines. Must exhibit flexibility of work hours to adjust to surge situations based on critical mission requirements.

Essential Functions:
Must demonstrate professional behavior at all times when dealing with customers, management and co-workers. Must have clear, concise and accurate communications skills in English, both verbal and written. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk to employees or others. Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner. Independent personal transportation to office or work site is required. Travel to and from customer's locations and the test fields may be required to support projects. This may involve airline travel. In some cases, accommodations can possibly be made for POV, if necessary. When operating any vehicle for work purposes, must wear seat belt and in addition, no cellular devices are to be used when vehicle is in motion.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
