Position Title: Supervisor - Food I February 2006
Position
Summary: Describe the positions purpose and overall role in the organization. Identify major job objectives and initiatives.
o
Serves as a working lead supervisor coordinating activities of workers or service employees engaged in food operations or services at smaller less complex facilities of commercial, health care facility, school, campus or other establishments.
o
Assists in ensuring a safe working environment throughout the facility for all employees.
o
Assists in monitoring employee productivity and provides suggestions for increased service or productivity.
o
Assists in the supervision of day-to-day activities of subordinates and assigns responsibility for specific work or functional activities.
o
Orients and trains employees.
o
Performs day to day assignments in addition to lead duties.
o
Works with customers to ensure satisfaction in such areas as quality, service, and problem resolution.

Typical Requirements:
o Education or Equivalent
Experience: High School diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
o Supervisor/Managerial
Experience: Previous supervisory experience preferred.
o Function Specific
Experience: 2 or more years of related work experience.
o Certification Requirements: None
Supervision: Identify the level of supervision received and provided.
Supervision Received: Works under minimal supervision. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals.
Supervision Provided: Orient, trains, assigns and checks the work of employees.
Working Conditions: Describe the physical environment in which the job works and any special physical qualifications required (safety hazards, visual/hearing acuity or unusual conditions).
Work is performed in an area that is adequately lighted and ventilated.
Physical Demands: Specific physical characteristics and abilities are required to perform the work, such as agility, dexterity and long periods of walking, standing, bending, carrying or lifting supplies and equipment weighing 50 pounds or more.
Must be available to work any hours of the operation.
