# Job Description
The Life Cycle CM/DM Department is responsible for recording the DDG baseline design and maintaining the ships platform configuration throughout the life of the DDG class ships. This position is to support and coordinate the functions of the Advanced Technology Information Support (ATIS) System and the Naval Ships Engineering Drawing Repository (NSEDR) along with supporting other CM/DM efforts. Responsibilities include:
Manipulate Ships Drawing Index (SDI) data to create baseline and post ship availability updates to the fleet.
Create downloads from NSEDR in support of ATIS updates.
Maintain the DDG and FFG class ATIS system databases.
Provide fleet and shorebased activities with database updates and ship''s force training.
Manage the storage, distribution and inventory control of all baseline and post avail updates.
Participate in multiple advanced planning efforts.
Support IT efforts related to data conversion and management.
Provide additional support to the Liaison Action Request (LAR), SDI and CM functions.
# Required Education/Training
AS or BS in Engineering or other technical field or an equivalent combination of shipbuilding experience and education with demonstrated experience related to design products.
# Experience
5 yrs experience working with design products.
2-3 yrs experience with configuration/data management and documentation.
Proficient knowledge of PC applications (MS Access, Excel, Word) and database management.

Highly motivated with proven ability to work independently.
Strong organizational, communications, analytical skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
Demonstrate the ability to work in a close team environment.
Knowledge of DDG Lifecycle experience is desirable.
Must be eligible to obtain a security clearance to access government applications.
