As theSoftwareDeveloper, you will.
Perform as the technical expert with thorough understanding of the business application of an
assigned project. Perform as a project lead with the responsibility for the
instruction, assigning, direction, and monitoring of the performance of
assigned software developers working on a specific project. Assists in the
scheduling and coordinating of projects and may be involved in the design phase
of a project. Works with customers and technical staff in the resolution of
software problems and respond to suggestions for software modifications or
enhancements.
Must have practical or hands-on experience in the following:
Web Services
Databases
LDAP
XML
Servlets
HTML
CSS
JSP
JavaScript
Experience with the following tools:
Eclipse
JIRA
Maven
Ant
SVN
Experience with RHEL, Apache Tomcat and SQL are a MUST.

Experience:
Hadpoop

Hibernate is a plus
Experience with following tools: Apache Archiva, IBM

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster.
