Overview of Job Function:
This position will serve as the IT leader and manager for the Hire-to-Retire process and all supporting applications, working alongside HR liaisons and executives to build strategy, roadmaps and execute work plans to achieve the same. The individual will provide management and oversight for the HTR IT team. The position will be responsible for ongoing support, and will lead all technology projects for the HR function on a global basis. The position will work closely with business partners to establish a strategic technology plan, identify opportunities to realize business value, incorporate industry technology advances, deliver on project commitments and support day to day operations of the HR function from an IT perspective. The position will also be responsible for other satellite applications that support and enable the HR organization. The position will need to function both independently and as a member of the Global team, so will interact with other members of both the HR and the IT organizations globally. Approximately 5-15% travel will be required, both domestically and occasionally internationally.
Principal Duties and Essential
Responsibilities:
Working with the Global HR function and IT organization to provide knowledge and subject matter expertise within Oracle HR applications
Design leading state processes, gather and rationalize requirements, perform fit/gap assessment against standard functionality
Develop innovative solutions to meet complex business requirements
Manage the HTR IT team and provide support for all in-scope applications supporting the Hire-to-Retire process area
Develop and maintain all required documentation supporting all phases of the SDLC
Manage projects and software development efforts supporting the HR function
Work with peer IT delivery groups to implement the solution as part of larger Oracle projects and initiatives
Partner with internal and external development resources as required.
Partner with business owners to research and incorporate HR industry leading practices into company processes as appropriate
Minimum Requirements:
B.S. or B.A. in Computer Science, B.B.A. in Management Information Systems or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in implementing and supporting Oracle Applications HR modules, specifically: Compensation Workbench, HRMS Self-Service, Core HR and Advanced benefits.
Experience with 3rd party applications such as SuccessFactors, ADP, etc.
Experience working with 3rd parties in SAAS model
Previous experience in identification of business requirements, working with business leaders to improve current business processes.
Significant business interaction, experience, and requirements documentation required.
Experience in or exposure to working in a matrix management model with direct reports working outside the local region.
Knowledge in writing SQL queries and deep knowledge in Oracle Discoverer.
Strong oral and written English communication skills
Strong Project Management skills
Ability to train and coach users will be required.
Ability to work in a dynamic environment and be able to meet deadlines under pressure.
Ability to work in a global, multi-cultural environment, supporting clients based in different geographical/national sites.
Ability to build credibility and be persuasive with Senior business leaders
Self driven, capable of conducting research, exploiting industry networks and persistently driving process improvements
Ability to approach problems both from a business and technical perspective
Must maintain a positive and diplomatic demeanor when dealing with customers and colleagues.
Approximately 5-15% domestic overnight travel required, occasional international travel
Successful completion of Verint background screening process including, but not limited to, employment verifications, criminal search, OFAC, and SS verification;
Preferred Requirements:
PMI Certification a plus
MS/MBA a plus
