SUMMARY
Manages the income tax compliance function to minimize the Companys tax liability consistent with federal, state and local tax laws and regulations in the most efficient and effective manner through the pro-active utilization of people, processes and technology. Coordinates with the other groups to identify, analyze and implement tax reduction strategies as well as ensure the proper financial statement reporting and successful resolution of tax controversy matters.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in maintaining Tax calendar. - Prepare/review all Federal and State tax returns. - Prepare/review various supporting schedules and gather documentation for income tax returns. - Prepare/review supporting tax and accounting schedules for fixed assets, depreciation and amortization. - Compute all tax payments. - Prepare/review all tax extensions. - Prepare/review all FAS109 (Accounting for Income Tax) computations/workpapers/SEC documentation. - Review of accounting and tax matters related to Qualified and Non-Qualified Benefit Plans, non-cash compensation, fringe benefits, and relocation expenses. - Assist with all other tax projects. - All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. - Comprehensive knowledge of federal and state tax laws and tax accounting standards. - Reporting under FAS 109, provisions, deferred, rate reconciliations, footnote preparation, etc. - Sound knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). - Ability to analyze and interpret technical laws, regulations, rulings and court decisions and to apply them to business operations. - Strong process and technology utilization skills. - Supervised subordinates or contractors whose roles were quite diverse in objectives and content, (e.g., Marketing, Accounting, Construction, Operations, etc.) - Thorough computer knowledge such as word processor, spreadsheet, other PC applications, or mainframe applications to resolve complex problems in day to day situations.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university; or eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. - CPA a plus. - An advanced degree or professional certification requiring formal education beyond college a plus (e.g. M.B.A, M.B.T., M.A., M.S., C.P.A., J.D.) - Five or more years of related experience at a professional level - One or more years as a manager, providing leadership, coaching, guidance, and training and contributing to staff development
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
