Privately-held, contract and private-label manufacturer of premium chocolate and baked snack products for many national retail chains. 100K sq.ft. BRC, Organic, Kosher Certified facility.
Responsibilities:
This position will have a $10mm
of annual spending responsibility.
Purchase and manage commodities and raw materials for processing.
Inspect all products for grade, condition and quality.
Coordinate and expedite most cost effective transportation of purchases.
Maximize margins though inventory management, negotiation, category management, forward buys, prices items appropriately for resale.
Inspect inventory levels and prepare Purchase Orders.
Participate in quarterly physical inventory.
Qualifications:
2
years in Food Purchasing.
Food ingredients or commodities and packaging experience.
Sourcing experience, negotiation skills, analytical and problem solving ability.
Strategic thinker with strong decision making and project management skills.
Strong computer skills.
Salary $50-60K, 10% annual bonus, Health, Dental, Life Insurance, 401(k), vacation.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
