At Regions, we are currently seeking a Credit Underwriter IV. As the bank Credit Underwriter, you will evaluate loan applications and approve or deny loan applications according to industry and business unit standards.
Primary Responsibilities
May perform duties using automated scoring systems or traditional underwriting
Gathers additional information as necessary to make sound decisions
Responds to internal and external customer inquiries as necessary
Performs other duties necessary to support the goals and objectives of the department and overall business unit
May approve applications that are beyond the organization''s guidelines

In addition to the responsibilities listed above, the Credit Underwriter IV will be responsible for evaluating loan applications and approve or deny loan applications >$1.25 million according to residential mortgage and consumer lending standards.
Requirements
7 years of residential mortgage underwriting or consumer credit experience.
Detailed understanding of GSE underwriting guidelines
Prior experience using Empower, DU/LP, and ACAPS is preferred
Preferences
Sound knowledge of banking policies/services related to commercial lines of business
Commercial lending experience
Accounting skills/abilities
Proficient in applicable computer software systems to include word processing, databases and spreadsheets
Proficient in Moody-s Financial Analyst
Strong credit analysis skills

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
