Web Technology Specialist

CTi is seeking a Web Technology Specialist with a strong technical background with the proven ability of completing Internet and Intranet related projects on time and within budget. The ideal candidate must have a wide range of technical and analytical skills including web application development, website management, responsive web design and development, mobile design and development, security, business analysis, documentation, cloud based implementation and integration (AWS, Rackspace, Terremark, Akamai, etc.), section 508, Usability, HTML 5, content management experience, and strong track record in the area of research and development. Ideal candidate should have previous experience working with .gov clients, large commercial clients, financial, insurance and banking clients with a strong emphasis on customer interaction, usability, customer satisfaction, user experience, and clear understanding of new and emerging technologies. The candidate should have strong web development experience including HTML5, CSS, .NET, JavaScript, Python, JSON, AJAX, and other web related technologies.
All eligible candidates must be able to pass a criminal and financial background check.
You will create new features for cutting edge web solutions and applications based on the latest client and server tools. This includes responsive web sites that require real-time user interaction on a ubiquitous set of clients and devices.
Your responsibilities will include the following:
Researching the latest web trends and technologies, and making recommendations on how they can be leveraged for future development
Developing the next generation of web solutions for new target audiences and devices
Implementing web user interfaces using technologies like HTML5, CSS3, jQuery
Applying test-driven development practices in an agile setting, including deploying and maintaining automated unit tests and functional tests
Implementing continuous deployment for cloud-based infrastructure
Assisting in the maintenance of commercial releases of COTs products
Performing other duties upon request
Building of components within the Adobe Experience Manager content management system
You have the following
Qualifications:
Degree in Computer Science or a related field
Strong verbal and written communication skills
At least five years of JavaScript development experience
Experience in developing web applications presentation layer using the latest tools and libraries
Experience with HTML5 and CSS3
Experience with JavaScript and ideally a front-end framework
Experience working with Linux shell environments
Familiarity with cloud-based hosting such as Google App Engine and Amazon Web Services
Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Delivery Agile, SCRUM and RUP
