Design Engineer - Bulk Material Handling Systems

Summary
Responsible for collaborating with project managers & outside suppliers to determine cost effective & efficient plant designs meeting client objectives.
Job Functions Summary
1. Create 2D/3D plant drawings ranging from preliminary to final detailed designs.
2. Create flow diagrams & P&ID drawings for plant designs.
3. Perform initial calculations for preliminary budgeting & sizing for Structural, Mechanical, & Electrical requirements.
4. Provide cost reports for plants, preliminary layout drawings, & bid packages.
5. Provide suppliers with required design data & material information for proper equipment selection.
6. Work with other engineering professionals for final structural designs; provide equipment loading information & operational aspects.
7. Work with civil contractors to determine best site prep requirements.
Minimum requirements
Degreed engineer with material processing and/or bulk material handling experience.
Abilities required
Candidate must be proficient with the following software systems:
1. Autocad Mechanical
2. Autocad Inventor
3. Aggflow
4. RevitEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
