Summary:
The DOE Savannah River site is looking for a Spent Fuel Program Analyst to join their team. The purposeofthis position istoprovidespentfuelprogram GTRI receiptand disposition option analysis support.
Essential Duties and

Review,evaluate,andprovidedeliverablesrelatedtothereceipt,storageandprocessing/disposition ofGTRImaterials.
Theeffortwillincludevariousengineering levelwork(includinganalysis) inthefollowing areas: receiptofSpecial Nuclear Fuel/NuclearMaterials; potential dispositionoptionsforGTRImaterials;analysisofcurrentconditionsforstorageofSNF/NM toensurecontinuedsafestorageforextended lifeoffacilities/packages/processes;evaluation of suitability ofdrystorage ofSNF(Aluminum Cladded uraniumoxide basedfuels);evaluation ofthetechnical feasibility ofdisposition ofStainlessSteeVZircalloycladded fuelandfuelsnotcompatible withthe currentH-Canyonflowsheetfordissolution; evaluation of flowsheets, hydrogen generation, and waste minimization options forplannedFRRIDRR fuel processing; review for completeness, NEPA analyses regarding the potential optionsidentifiedforthereturnofcertainmaterials.
