PATENT PORTFOLIO BUILDERS, PLLC, (formerly Potomac Patent Group of Fredericksburg) an Intellectual Property law firm specializing in the preparation and prosecution of patents in the electrical, software and mechanical technologies for corporate clients, is searching for expert Patent Attorneys or Patents Agent to address increasing workloads.
Responsibilities include preparing and prosecuting patent applications, with the opportunity to do some opinion and licensing work, but will focus on the drafting of high quality patent applications for challenging technologies. Qualified candidates will have significant experience drafting patent applications, as well as a degree in EE, Physics or the like, and will be viewed by themselves (and clients) as able to operate independently with little or no supervision. No book of business is required, as plenty of work is available, however, interesting opportunities may also be available for candidates who have (or wish to develop) business.
In order to attract professionals of the highest caliber, PPB pays patent professionals an industry-leading 60-70% of billed time with no billable hour requirement. The preferred candidates will be able to work from the Fredericksburg, Virginia office.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
