Our client is currently seeking a General/Operations Manager in Columbus, NE.
In this key role as General/Operations Manager, you will
Provide leadership, direction, training and coaching to the manufacturing operations team.
Support manufacturing operations for material control, tooling engineering, estimating, and purchasing.
Implement manufacturing strategies and plans to ensure strategic objectives and goals are met.
Forecast labor requirements and recommend equipment and layout changes.
Manage A/R and inventory targets.
Monitor performance to meet production efficiency, yield and quality goals.
Develop plans and processes to minimize manufacturing cost through effective utilization of manpower, equipment, facilities, materials, and capital.
Maintain knowledge of all current and newly developed manufacturing processes.
Partner with Transportation to achieve on-time deliveries at the lowest cost.
Manage all aspects of operations to assure a safe working environment.
Look for opportunities for continuous improvement of product quality using ISO-9001:2008.
Contact customers to understand their needs and changes in the marketplace.
Develop pricing for all products and customers that maximize margins and grow market share.
Requirements for General/Operations Manager:
Bachelors degree in Business Administration or related discipline.
Must have 5
years of manufacturing experience and 10
years in a leadership role.
Agricultural related experience and/or background is highly desired.
Must possess strong mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills.
Knowledge and experience with Lean manufacturing methods is preferred.
Good understanding of analysis of financial reports.
Ability to work in a collaborative and team environment.
Must have excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, planning, organizational and analytical skills.
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
