This position provides leadership and support for Hybrid Seed Production, with primary emphasis on: field preparation and management to ensure high-quality/quantity seed production; planting and harvesting operations; plot maintenance; field data collection according to established protocols and timelines; and efficient conditioning, treatment, packaging and shipping of seed.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Manage fields for quality and yield while exercising independent judgment and discretion as appropriate.
2. Maintain, organize and summarize data associated with seed production including gathering data before, during and after planting, assisting personnel with field mapping, planting, integrated pest management, rouging, detasseling, and other general field activities.
3. Ability to use technology (PDA, IPAD, Email or other tools) to collect and distribute data as well as communicate.
4. Work closely with growers to produce a successful crop while noting problem areas and recommending actions to be taken within standard procedures.
5. May participate on hiring committees, organize and supervise temporary or seasonal workers, and supervise Research Assistants ensuring work is performed in a safe and efficient manner.
6. Participate on committees and teams related to but not limited to Safety, Field, Plant, Warehouse, DPS, and others.
7. Support processing and warehouse activities including harvest, drying, conditioning, treat/packaging and shipping.
OTHER DUTIES:
1. May be requested to assist at other Dupont Pioneer sites or groups from other locations.
2. May be asked to support any site activity.
1. Associate''s degree in agricultural or closely related degree; OR HS diploma/GED equivalent with 3-5 years of closely related experience.
2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as math and computer skills.
3. Ability to operate farm machinery preferred.
4. May be required to do physical lifting (up to 60 lbs) and work in varying environments (heat, cold, rain, snow, wind, etc).
5. Must have a current and active driver license and be willing to operate a vehicle. May be required to obtain a Class A CDL and Commercial Pesticide Applicators license.
6. Knowledge of multi-media tools (IPAD), Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, Word and computer skills preferred.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
