SOX Compliance Analyst

Our client is seeking a SOX Compliance Analyst in Pawtucket, RI. Duties:
Demonstrate the ability to build effective working relationships with all levels of internal management, external auditors, and the Internal Audit team
Work with the SOX Compliance Manager to coordinate planning and scoping work in conjunction with the annual compliance program
Review control documentation and testing to identify potential design deficiencies; ensure that risks are properly mitigated; and remediation is achieved for any control deficiencies identified
Assist corporate and subsidiary management teams with testing and documentation efforts including an at least annual review of the process documentation including narratives and/or flowcharts
Work with various levels of management to identify key and mitigating controls
Work with the SOX Compliance Manager to conduct training and provide guidance to management on an as needed basis
Perform follow-up reviews and testing of corrective action plans as needed to ensure effective operation of controls and mitigation of risk
Suggests improvements and offers other conclusions and observations based on work performed
Perform ongoing research for regulatory changes that may impact the SOX Compliance program and suggest changes accordingly
Execute other projects as required from time to time
Bachelor''s degree in Accounting or Finance. Graduate degree desirable but not required.
Have a CPA and/or CIA designation or be working towards obtaining
Three to five years of relevant experience in a SOx compliance role or role with SOx compliance work required
Experience preferably in a manufacturing environment, but not required
Experience with ERP systems and understand the inter-related nature of transactions
Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point)
