## Description
SUMMARY : Performs regular monthly accounting tasks and participates in preparation of internal and external periodic financial reporting requirements.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Performs variety of accounts payable, accounts receivable, customer data, and/or other related data input/posting/maintenance/ processing into financial accounts, related systems and other informational databases.
Participates in monthly close process which may include reconciliation of internal accounts and calculate, prepare and post recurring and non-recurring journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation.
Receives transaction information such as invoices, authorizations to pay, customer account data such as account set-up, maintenance agreements and other information from related departments, outside vendors and others. Ensures information is complete before processing.
Reviews information to input and determines correct procedures so accounts, systems and databases will be updated properly. Contacts related departments, Employees, customers, vendors, financial institutions and others as needed to clarify information.
Participate in the strategic planning and annual budget process as needed.
Participates in preparation of ongoing internal and external financial reporting.
Perform ad hoc financial forecasting, analysis and modeling as needed.
Assist in identifying and implementing processes and improvements in planning, analysis and reporting. This includes leveraging information technology to automate, streamline, and integrate processes.
## Qualifications
EDUCATION:
4 year degree in Accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience:
Related experience in accounting or finance
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Detail-oriented, organized, patient and thorough.
Data entry skills, including accuracy and speed in a fast-paced, time-critical environment with ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication skills both written and verbal
Knowledge of commonly-used financial concepts, practices and procedures
Solid MS Office skills (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Excel skills should include Lookups, Pivot Tables
Solid ERP system use
