Nebraska Public Power District (NPPD)has an immediate opening for an Automation & Controls Engineer (Level 1, 2, or 3)in Transmission & Distribution Engineering located at Columbus, Nebraska. Summary of Job Duties: Design control panels, create electrical schematics and wiring diagrams; Develop programming for automated substations and Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs); Provide programming and technical assistance on substation communication networking and protocols. (DNP, Ethernet, Modbus); Create Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programming; Procure equipment on assigned projects; Provided startup, operations support, and training; Support distribution irrigation load management system; Develop and maintain distribution SCADA hardware. NOTE: This position falls under the umbrella of NPPD's Engineering Career Path, dated June, 2012. Qualifications : Education and Training: B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university or college OR P.E. and B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering from a Non-ABET accredited school. The level assigned to the successful candidate will be determined by the candidate''s skills, ability, and experience. Licenses and/or Certifications Required: (Engineer Level 3) - PE License preferred. Prior Related
Experience: A Level 2 or 3 engineer will have experience in Transmission & Distribution Engineering working with controls and automation. Salary Information: Engineer-Level 1 $61,020.00 - $77,072.00/year Engineer-Level 2 $68,436.00 - $86,443.00/year Engineer-Level 3 $77,832.00 - $100,231.00/year Resumes will be accepted through July 18, 2014. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
