The Senior Production Support Analyst role is responsible for both leading and participating in client requirements sessions, documenting business requirements, preparing and reviewing technical design documents, troubleshooting technical and functional problems, and participating in production support and testing.
Analysis
Understand the business issues and data challenges of the client.
Define and document the qualitative and/or quantitative assessment of client current state.
Requirements Gathering, Documentation, & Analysis
Lead or participate in client requirement meetings to elicit and understand the client''s needs/requirements.
Define business requirements to shape the scope of the development effort.
Identify any requirements which deviate from the standard Aon Hewitt delivery model and manage these through the appropriate change control processes.
Review and validate client requirements based on domain knowledge/expertise and understanding of the client''s business process and challenges.
Understand business requirements to convert them into product/system specifications and technical design specifications that fully represent the client requirements and the project requirements.
Ensure cross-impacted areas are identified and engaged.
Ensure solution designs meet the agreed functional and non-functional requirements.
Design, Development, & Production Support
Transfer the business need and requirements to the development team.
Review test plans, test cases to ensure that all requirements are covered, and the documents are thorough.
Support and manage UAT activity in conjunction with the test team.
Act as a resource throughout the all life cycles of a project to the Development Team to clarify the requirements, manage any requirements changes resulting from development issues or business issues.
Conduct research and troubleshooting for client production break/fix issues on a priority basis.
Provide on call production cycle support for batch processing 24x7 on a rotational basis.
Resolve defects and user questions.
Troubleshoot complex high-level design issues and provide appropriate solutions.
Act as the PeopleSoft functional and technical system owner. This requires system production support management and requires root cause analysis and resolution.
May have to code and fix problems on ad hoc basis, especially in potentially high-pressure client-facing situations.
Project Planning, Tracking, & Reporting
Work with the Delivery Lead/SDM to identify dependencies, opportunities, risks, costs, timelines, and assists with the creation of the delivery plan.
Manage small projects to deliver enhancements to applications.
Work with the Business Sponsor and Delivery Manager to determine if a change is made as part of the current project or as a later addition.
Process Management
Identify root causes of delivery issues.
Take a strong lead in working with the client team to understand areas of process improvement and develop solutions.
Recommend process improvements and identify opportunities to define/follow standard operating procedures.
Ensure adherence to AHTPL, SDLC and SAS70 requirements.
Attend team meetings, module meetings, code release meetings, development type meetings and defect review meetings.

years of PeopleSoft HCM experience including:
Experience gathering requirements via workshops and interviews and delivering the requirements documents.
Experience creating use case models.
Experience with SQL.
Experience with Control-M Scheduling.
Experience working with a standard development process (e.g., HTP).
Extensive experience in a Production Support environment.
Experience with process reengineering.
Experience with Implementation of HR support applications preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Detail-oriented, organized and capable of prioritizing workload to complete multiple tasks and meet aggressive deadlines.
Ability to work independently and apply sound judgment.
Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively as a member of a team.
