Payment Posting Representative
Department: Healthcare Billing
Schedule: Full-time
Shift: Day shift
Hours: 40 hrs/week; day shift
Job Details:
Responsible for accurate completion of the daily payment process for medical center and physician practice patient encounters and non-patient revenue including cash balancing, cash posting reconciliation, payment posting, payment review, contractual adjustment posting, and preparation of daily bank deposits.
Qualifications/Competencies:
CPAT or CCAT preferred.
High school diploma or general education diploma (GED) required.
1 year experience in healthcare or other business office setting required;3 years or more of healthcare revenue cycle experience strongly preferred.
Proficiency in a suite of Microsoft Office applications.
Basic medical billing and cashiering knowledge.
Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
Understanding of basic accounting principles and revenue cycle work flows and processes preferred.
Ability to work effectively in a complex environment.
Excellent customer service skills.
Excellent and demonstrated communication skills including oral, written and telephone.
Analytical skills including problem solving and basic mathematical skills.
