The Account Manager is responsible for servicing commercial accounts by working effectively with customers and companies to process business, analyze policies and exposures, and resolve issues while maintaining the highest ethical standards in all dealings.
Specific Job
Responsibilities:
Handling all calls/mail/email communication from insured and carriers
Processing new and renewal policies, endorsements, and audits
Taking initial reporting of claims, reporting to carrier, and assisting with resolution of claims
Assisting clients in making appropriate coverage changes
Explaining audit procedures to clients and reviewing interim reports for accuracy
Remarketing accounts as required
Informing and educating clients about coverage, exclusions, and exposures
Responding to all client inquiries regarding their insurance program including producing binders, certificates, policies and other related items accurately and per agency procedures and standards
Maintaining agency files, including client electronic files
Providing technical support to Account Specialist and Account Executive
Advising Account Executive and Account Specialist on unusual activity on accounts
Finalizing completion of applications
Submitting applications with supporting documents to markets designated by Account Executive
Quoting accounts via carrier websites when applicable
Establishing and completing marketing quote spreadsheet
Preparing proposals as required by Account Executive
Obtaining required documents and payments to complete file upon binding
Submitting required documents to carriers for binding or issue internal binder submitting to carrier for policy issuance
Assisting with development of account rounding program of current clients
Innovating to improve the quality of service provided to clients
Assisting Commercial Lines team members in responding to clients' needs during staffing shortage
Required Skills:
Clear and concise communication skills, both orally and in writing
Development of professional relationships with clients, company representatives, internal team members
Ability to gather information, organize data, and make decisions using analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong drive to complete tasks, satisfy clients, and enhance processes

Ability to type, use of basic office equipment, familiarity with Microsoft Office Products, email and internet
