Overview:
Performs a variety of network and computer support to include providing technical assistance to staff for computer problems, evaluating and troubleshooting computer and network systems, making hardware/software recommendations and implementing these changes.
Primary
Responsibilities:
Troubleshoots existing computer and network related issues in a timely fashion, and escalates problems to the IT Manager when necessary.
Provides help desk service to staff.
Instructs users in use of equipment. Assists users in identifying and solving telecommunication problems.
Performs network backup according to designated schedule.
Works as part of a project team to implement various IT projects throughout the company. Leads projects in specific areas of expertise as assigned.
Recommends hardware or software for purchase.
Installs new hardware and software products.
Setup and installs new or updated systems.
Monitors system performance.
Develops and write procedures for installation, use, and solving problems of communications hardware and software.
Assists in the documentation of the network, applications and resources on the network in conjunction with the rest of the IT staff.
Maintains and increases knowledge and skills through attendance at meetings, conferences, training seminars and in-service training sessions.
Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or
Experience:

Requires knowledge of networking essentials and cabling standards including fiber optics andCAT5 Cabling; and knowledge of commonly used network data link standards, such asOSI,TCP/IP, IEEE 802 standards, and EIA/TIA standards. Advanced knowledge of the following software programs required: Windows XP & 2003 operating systems, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Exchange. Experience and in the following computer systems highly desired: NetApp, SharePoint, Cisco Routers, Timberline, ADP, Microsoft SQL Server, and VMware.
This job requires the ability to operate with little direction, while simultaneously collaborating with team members across different time zones. It requires the ability to follow standard operating procedures, and to cleanly and consistently document work performed. Applicants must also be able to read and understand technical manuals. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Must have the ability to successfully interact with end users and technical staff on issues. Must have highly developed interpersonal and excellent written and verbal communication skills. The ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy is critical. This position requires the ability to take direction and accomplish goals and objectives with minimal supervision.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
In addition to the certifications listed above, candidates certified on NetApp, SharePoint, and those possessing a Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) are preferred.
Security Clearance:
Secret Level Required
Must have a current US Government SECRET Personnel Security Clearance or be able to successfully complete a U.S. government administered Investigation.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Must also be able to maintain a US Government SECRET clearance.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
