Under maximum supervision of the Team Leader, receives processes and distributes incoming and outgoing telephone calls of the hospital. Major Duties: Meets organizational expectations as defined by the Employee Standards of Performance, hospital and department policies and procedures, and the hospital s strategic goals.Verbalizes a clear understanding of continuous quality improvement and customer satisfaction measures and actively participates in improvement initiatives. Processes and distributes all hospital incoming and outgoing telephone calls as required/requested in a timely manner.Answer high volume of telephone calls.Sorts inbound mail and distributes to appropriate inbox in mail room. Communicates emergency codes hospital wide upon notification and beeps and pages proper personnel to assist.Maintains a log of all beeps and pages as well as keeping peg counts for telephone calls. Processes telecommunications activities to ensure the successful implementation of telecommunications requests.Develops and implements complete and detailed documentation of telecommunications processes. Maintains the on-call schedules for doctors and interdepartmental personnel.Directs patients and visitors to patient rooms and departments.Keeps an updated census sheet on room changes, discharges and administration in the event of computer system with Security and Maintenance by radio.Dispatch Facility Services and Disinfection team members as necessary. Monitors alarm systems and alerts designated effectively both verbally and in writing. Iidentifies weaknesses in current telecommunications processes and evaluates and recommends corrective measures.Requires moderate supervision by the ITS Manager and must be able to make low-level decisions based on departmental standard operating procedures and hospital policies. adheres to Patient Confidentiality as per HIPAA regulations and demonstrates sound Customer Relations Skills.Performs other duties as assigned or directed to ensure smooth operation of the organization. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Preferred: Two-three years of experience as Telecommunications or PBX Operator in a healthcare environment experience is preferred. Required: Demonstrates ability to make sound judgment and initiative in performing duties as assigned.Has basic knowledge of personal computers and basic keyboarding ability.Demonstrates customer service skills and has pleasant speaking voice.High school diploma or equivalent. One-two years experience as Telecommunications or PBX Operator or experience processing multi-line phone calls and basic computer skills is required.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
