Responsibilities:
This position involves managing a diverse portfolio of environmental projects, ensuring regulatory/policy compliance and providing expert technical input; performing site investigations and asbestos, lead, and mold surveys; abatement and remediation design; client interaction; supervising field staff; and actively sourcing business opportunities.
Qualifications:
Position requirements include BS in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or other related field and 7-10 years of industrial hygiene experience with a concentration in asbestos, lead, and indoor air quality. Strong technical writing skills and experience with asbestos, lead, and mold projects in institutional, industrial, and retail/commercial settings is required. Must have the ability to effectively supervise field staff and subcontractors on multiple projects. State of Iowa Asbestos Inspector license is required and NIOSH 582 certification is preferred. Asbestos Management Planner/Project Designer Certifications required (or ability to obtain upon employment). State of Iowa licensure as a Lead Inspector/Risk Assessor is also preferred. 40-hour HAZWOPER certification is required. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual with superior communication skills who excels in an extremely fast-paced team environment.
