PDS TECH is seeking a System Safety Engineer for an open position in Stratford, CT
Perform a variety of technical and analytical tasks in support of lead system
safety engineers for development of aircraft programs - Interface with Product
Development Teams to promote safety as an attribute of design for complex,
safety critical systems - Apply scientific and engineering principles, criteria,
and techniques to identify and track potential safety hazards - Perform safety
analyses, conduct safety risk assessments and develop recommendations for risk
mitigation - Identify system safety requirements for sub-tier and associate
contractors - Prepare system safety documentation, presentations and formal
reports for program management and customers
Bachelor
of Science
Working knowledge of MIL-STD-882 and SAE ARP4754 / 4761 system safety
methodologies. Ability to work with System Safety Team and Engineering PDT
members in order to influence hardware and software design and perform analyses
as required to produce and/or update the following deliverables: - System Safety
Program Plan - Preliminary Hazard List/Analysis - Functional Hazard Assessment -
System & Subsystem Safety Analyses - Hazard Risk Assessment and Hazard
