Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) full and part time $50/hr Must Have Psych
Exciting opportunity for ARNP in our Broward offices who is certified by the
American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) in psychiatric mental health advanced practice nursing as the area of specialization or has practical experience in psychiatric nursing.
Experience working in Substance Abuse or DETOX, frequent cases of chronic, and severe persistent mental illnesses. Also general practice scenarios such family practice medicine multiple age categories, but predominantly adult population of Broward County.
Shift: Days, full or part time M-F
Place of Possible Performance:
1. About Intensive Residential Treatment (I.R.I.). This program is short term (28 day) treatment
at the Coral Springs Residential Facility located at 3275 N.W. 99 Way, Coral Springs, FL 33065
(Booher Building) that provides a supportive environment conducive toward the goals and
principles of recovery. Substance abuse education, counseling and family support are primary
services the client receives. Medical care and nursing services are provided to maintain and/or
improve health status. The life circumstances of each client are assessed and incorporated into
treatment. Alcoholics and Narcotics anonymous meetings are available. Upon completion,
aftercare is provided which includes referrals to other BARC programs and community
agencies. BARC also provides extended services to substance abusing women with small
children and pregnant women. Many of the clients entering BARC's system often have co-occurring
disorders.
2. About Medical Detoxification. The Medical Detoxification Unit is located at 1000 S.W. Second
Street, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312. It is presently a 34 bed acute admissions detoxification unit
that operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week, 365 days per year. It is a medically
supervised detoxification program for adult males and females who are addicted to drugs and/or
alcohol and who often have co-occurring psychiatric disorders. Individuals participate in a
moderately paced program with emphasis on medical stabilization. In addition, all residents
receive individual and group counseling from trained staff.
QUALIFICATIONS OF PERSONNEL:
Contractor will provide individuals who, at a minimum, meet the qualifications and have the knowledge,
formal education, training, licenses, skills and abilities as outlined in the individual job descriptions
detailed herein. Federal Law requires all employers to verify the identity and employment eligibility of
all persons hired to work in the United States. Contractor will provide individuals who have been prescreened for eligibility to work in the United States. If requested by any County Agency utilizing this
contract, the Contractor will provide references. documentation and information concerning the
licenses, educational level, and/or employment experience of the individual within one (1) working day
after request. In the event that any individual assigned to any agency in the County by the Contractor
is found to be unqualified for his/her specific assignment, the County shall notify the Contractor to
replace the individual within four (4) hours of request by County. Broward County shall be the sole
judge of qualification and its decision shall be final. Must have substance abuse and or detox experience.
Must have FL ARNP License, ACLS, Three Professional References, 24 months experience, Ability to work well with healthcare team, Must have worked as an ARNP within the past six (6) months, Must have current immunizations.
HIPPA COMPLIANCE:
Contractor is subject to the Federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996,
(HIPAA) and the requirements of HIPAA mandate certain responsibilities of contractors with access to
Protected Health Information (PHI). Contractor will ensure that all staff utilized in the performance of
this contract are fully trained and updated regularly on the requirements of HIPAA and client
confidentiality. Contractor shall not assign any temporary worker for a County assignment without such
temporary worker having completed HIPPA training within the past year. Broward County reserves the
right to request proof thereof.
Code of Federal Regulations, Title 42 - The Contractor and staff will not disclose to anyone, directly
or indirectly, any such personally identifiable information or other confidential information gained from
the agency, unless the individual who is the subject of the information consents to the disclosure in
writing or the disclosure is made pursuant to the agency's policies, procedures and rules.
