We are looking for an individual who shares this common goal, and who is looking for a career with a progressive healthcare network at our Lifecare Division.
In this position, you will provide leadership and management direction for this skilled rehab and nursing care facility. You will supervise staff; develop and manage operating and capital budgets; develop, communicate, implement, and monitor goals, objectives, and strategic planning for the facility; establish and monitor a system for tracking all customer service activities. Promote and provide leadership for positive employee relations, Sentara values, customer service, patient and staff safety, and other company initiatives. Build positive relations with residents and family members, physicians, and the community.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor''s degree in Health Administration, Business Administration, or related field.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years previous experience in management and business planning in a long-term care facility. Extensive working knowledge of Federal and State regulations required.
Licensure: Current license as a Nursing Home Administrator
Key Competencies: (Knowledge/Skills/Abilities) Strongly developed communication skills, successfully demonstrated in effectively working with a wide variety of people; established skill in strategic and critical thinking, negotiation, presentations, salesmanship, and relationship-building; provides leadership as indicated by the ability to get individuals or groups to accomplish a task or accept an idea; demonstrated problem-solving and inductive reasoning skills which manifest themselves in creative solutions to operational issues. Demonstrated computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, and other business software programs.
