Key Role:
Support a critical replication and prototyping laboratory and fabrication facility in the building of electronic devices, supporting their testing and evaluation. Leverage experience with soldering and de-soldering to perform bottom-up assembly of circuit elements, rework of existing electronics, and white-wiring of prototype electronics to support test and evaluation (T&E) activities. Perform component placement and rework down to 0402-size Surface Mount Technology (SMT) devices and customized wiring harness and connector assembly, when needed. Follow and adhere to procedural build documents in pursuit of fully operational prototype electronics. Conduct limited electronic test and evaluation using digital multi-meters (DMMs), DC power supplies, and oscilloscopes and display expertise with documentation regarding T&E activity, including communicating operating point measurements, expected and unexpected inputs and outputs, and failure modes.
Basic
Qualifications:
-1 years of experience with electronics assembly and soldering and de-soldering equipment
-Experience with customized wiring harness and connector assembly
-Ability to perform bottoms up assembly of circuit elements and rework existing electronics and white-wiring of prototype electronics
-Ability to display component placement and rework expertise down to 0402-size surface mount technology
-Ability to follow and adhere to procedural build documents in pursuit of fully operational prototype electronics
-Secret clearance
-AS degree

-Experience with electronic test and evaluation using digital multi-meters (DMMs), DC power supplies, and oscilloscopes preferred
-Experience with documentation regarding T&E activities, including communicating operating point measurements, expected or unexpected inputs and outputs, and failure modes preferred
-Experience with clients or organizations in the Army, other military branches, or civilian industry
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
