Function: PLC, Electrical / Controls Engineer
Reports to: NA EB Engineering Manager

Responsibilities and duties:

Overview: The NAEB Team performs the lead role in the areas of, but not limited to: production, technology evaluation and development, process development improvement, process standardization, process testing, equipment design, equipment safety, and site technical support. The person filling this position will be involved in all of the areas above. The following is a more detailed list of responsibilities / skill sets for the PLC Electrical / Controls Engineer role:
Design, develop, and supervise electrical control systems, (including schematics) for equipment and machinery
Installation and technical support of PLC hardware and software. Programmable knowledge in PLC systems (Siemens preferred.)
Robotics: application specification, configuration, and programming. Primary robotic integration type is Yaskawa / Motoman, GE Fanuc robotic systems. Other types include Panasonic or ABB.
Networking configuration: field bus systems like Profibus, Ethernet, RS232, etc. Communicating with multiple systems using different protocols.
Assist with needs assessment for computer and software requirements in all areas of the facility. Programming Languages C, C++, Pascal, +OOP (object oriented languages)
Databases, SQL Language; Experience with my SQL or any SQL database server (Oracle, MSSQL); Specifically, Delphi is a plus.
Assist with PLC and PC training as required.
Create & maintain electrical schematic drawings for equipment built by the NAEB business.
Install, configure and maintain organization?s network.
Design and support server system and supporting hardware for the NAEB business.
Use computers and computer systems to program, write software, set up functions, enter data, and process information.

Qualifications

Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures related to computer technology.
Bachelor degree in electrical or software engineering or foreign equivalent in electrical engineering or software engineer degree and in addition to at least three years of experience as an Electrical Engineer or Software Engineer, Design Engineer, and or Test Engineer. .
Programmable knowledge in Siemens software.
Full understanding and user knowledge of NEC and OSHA codes and regulations
User knowledge of the various motor types and control. Includes: AC/DC motors and drives, servo and stepper motor configuration and control
Experience with image processing hardware/software and high level programming languages (Delphi and Pascal) is preferred.
Web Development: HTML, PHP and Java scripts. Knowledge/experience in server/client side scripting languages is a plus.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
