Qualifications:
-Minimum 18 months experience as a Network Engineer
-CCNA Required
-6 months experience in a customer service oriented position
- Knowledge of the design, configuration, installation, maintenance, and upgrade of the local area network (LAN) and/or wide area network (WAN).
-Knowledge of network operations.
- Knowledge of Cisco hardware and IOS.
-Knowledge of servers, switches, routers, and various network services.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Responsible for the engineering, design, configuration, installation, maintenance, and upgrade of the local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN). Provides technical support to various departments and users with regards to the LAN/WAN. Performs engineering, design, implementation, and maintenance tasks on the LAN and/or WAN. Assists with the on-going assessment and upgrade of networks with the assistance of a higher level Engineer. Collects and analyzes data network statistics. Serves as a troubleshooter on network problems. Handles the majority of customer related tickets. Develop relationships with vendors and investigates sources of equipment and services. Maintains close contact with existing vendors of equipment and services. Evaluates vendor cost and quality of equipment and services. Coordinates with vendors on the installation of hardware such as routers, bridges, and switches. Remains informed of new developments and trends; may make recommendations to management on desirable additions and developments.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
