Trench MOSFET Development Engineer Engineering at Geebo

Trench MOSFET Development Engineer

Company Name:
ON Semiconductor
Position Description
As an engineer at ON Semiconductor's premier 200mm manufacturing facility, you will work in a dynamic team environment. Each day you will be challenged by working on a diverse set of technology related challenges with a world-class team.
Develop semiconductor wafer process flows to produce semiconductor devices by using final product specifications and requirements. Must consider what is the best process flow to achieve the needed electrical performance, product quality and the cost.
Conduct wafer-level experiments and analyze physical and electrical data.
Optimize process flow and process recipes, qualify the process flows and releases the flows and specifications for each processing step to a manufacturing facility for mass production.
Transfer the process to another FAB as required. When existing processes are transferred out to a new or external fab, provide the necessary data (flows, specs, know-how) to assist set-up in the fab and resolve processing issues to enable the receiving fab to release the product to full production.
Each new product and technology must undergo and pass a series of rigorous reliability tests before the products can be sold to the customer. Responsible for designing the process and specifications such the products pass these reliability tests.
Job
Responsibilities:
Communicate with Business Unit (BU), to get product specification, device design and project schedule information, to develop new process platform.
Work with BU design team and process engineering team to determine possible process flow and process recipes. Setup process flow and recipes to run engineering material.
Design process skew / split, write Engineering Run Request (ERR), start engineering lot, maintain the engineering lot progress and coordinate engineering lot shipping.
Analyze engineering lot data, summarizing the data, share the information to team. Feedback the results to optimize process flow and recipes. Decide on next steps to meet goals based upon the data.
Compose process release document, bring it to review boards and seek approval.
Summarize project status and report to management.
Participate technology transfer meeting and provide engineer support of project activities.
Position Requirements
BS, MS or Ph.D degree in either engineering or Science, advanced degree preferred.
Electrical, Chemical or Material Science preferred with specialization(s) in Semiconductor devices, physics, design or processing.
Work experience / Industrial:
3 - 5 years of industrial experience in Semiconductor process, integration or technology development. Research in Semiconductor science is applicable if part of a Ph.D. or M.S. program.
Preference is for work experience in the area of Trench MOSFET device integration or technology development, including both N & P-channel devices in the complete range of break-down voltages from 20 - 200V.
Required Skills:
Semiconductor process knowledge (Process flows, tools, recipes).
Understanding of semiconductor physics & devices (especially Power MOSFET).
Ability to use Semiconductor analysis tools / FAB tools (Parameter analyzer, Microscope, etc).
Ability to review, summarize, analyze complex physical and semiconductor electrical test data. This requires the use of a number of software tools (MS office, DataPower, JMP, yield analysis, etc).
Ability to plan, write and execute wafer level engineering experiments, DOEs. This includes the use of software tools and procedures for engineering wafer lot handling and engineering run instruction writing.
Data analysis skills.
Additional Skills to please note on your application:
Fluency in languages other than english, such as Japanese or Mandarin.
TCAD or Simulation experience.
Semiconductor design or layout skills.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in a professional engineering environment.
