Smartlink is looking to hire two Financial Analysts, one in Annapolis, MD and one in either Seattle, WA, Irvine, CA, or Phoenix, AZ.

The Financial Analyst is responsible for compiling and analyzing financial information for the organization. This will be achieved through general accounting knowledge, generating and creating reports through various software and their ability to provide in depth analysis of this information.

Primary
Responsibilities:
Compile and analyze financial information for the site development services business unit.
Responsible for the creation and maintenance of project budgets and forecasts.
Analysis of actual invoicing and costs, rate/volume analysis and comparison across projects.
Evaluate and make appropriate improvements to internal budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring that practices are efficient, scaleable and in line with overall goals of the organization.
Develop project analyses, projections and reports utilizing SAP, Crystal Reports, Biznet, and Excel.
Identify trends, areas of notice and developments and present findings to management.
Work collaboratively with Site Development Services, PMO, and IT teams.
Understand contractual requirements and how they translate to project budget/forecasts

Job Requirements:
To perform the Financial Analyst job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily. These requirements are representative, but not all-inclusive, of the knowledge, skill, and ability required of the company Financial Analyst.
Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices and procedures.
Experience with or understanding of percentage completion accounting.
Relies on experience and judgme i nt to plan and accomplish goals.
Excellent computer skills with experience in SAP Accounting Software, Microsoft Office Suite and a familiarity with a variety of reporting software including Crystal Reports.
Initiative and motivation required to successfully operate with a wide degree of creativity and latitude.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality.
Excellent organizational skills.
Education and
Experience:
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or accounting.
Minimum 3-5 years experience. Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
