We're working on behalf of a 202-bed medical center whose Bariatric Services have been designated as a Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence by the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. Their Bariatric Services provides patients suffering from morbid obesity with the treatment and support they need to lose weight and keep it off. Surgical options include Chicago Gastric Bypass Surgery, Chicago Lap-Band Surgery, Chicago Single Incision Laparoscopic (SILS) Chicago Lap-Band Surgery and Chicago Gastric Sleeve Surgery.
We seek candidates with proven growth experience in developing Cardiac or Bariatric Services for the role of Director, Cardiac Services & Bariatric. In this role you will lead the business operations of cardiac services, weight loss programs (surgical and medical), and Respiratory for two respected community hospitals. You will plan, organize, direct, and control all staff which includes a professional nursing and technical staff. You will demonstrate leadership qualities and perform administrative duties related to the Cardiac Catheterization Lab, Cardiac Services and Bariatrics, and Respiratory. You will develop and implement goals and objectives for assigned areas of responsibility and also be responsible for the budgets and program growth strategies.
Candidates must have a Bachelors degree and five (5) or more years of progressive managerial experience in either Cardiac Services or Bariatrics. Must have advanced analytical/problem solving skills necessary to develop and administer innovative care delivery systems within the confines of staff and budget constraints and to develop overall policies and procedure for their areas of responsibility. Must have the interpersonal skills necessary to interact with all levels of hospital personnel and with external parties, frequently in situations that are sensitive and/or of significance to the organization. Must be able to plan, organize, direct and control the operation of several departments.
